I just can't do it. I knew this wasn't my jam going in, but more than the story and the tropes... it's predictable and feels canned. I don't read romancey type books, but I figured with it being a murder thriller there would be something to keep me slightly entertained. Instead of giving the book 2 stars, I'm just going to DNF the book and move on. Blech.

Someone gave me this book, and while it's not my "normal thing" I don't mind reading something different every now and then. Will see how it goes.
