I enjoyed Mallory’s storyline, but I didn’t love some of the plot twists, especially the reveal involving Monk’s father. Hannah’s 1951 storyline also felt way too disconnected from plot. I also don’t really like historical fiction, so all the political climate/history of Egypt didn’t do much for me Had to listen to the audiobook because 350 pages is a lot for me unless I’m completely hooked
