Chapter 4 was pretty straightforward. Stalin liked to read but stuck to one principle and did not change, leading to too much bloodshed and the Russian military's unpreparedness for Operation Barbarossa.

Completed chapter 3. I think Germany would have been in a different position had Stresemann lived a few more years. The reaction of all statesmen to rearmament is something to remember forever. The idea of observing reactions at Pattern Breaks does seem valuable.
