I just read the description for this book and if you are liking it - you would probably love the book “Dopesick”. It’s true stories about how opioids in general but especially OxyContin affected northeast TN and southwest VA as one of the hardest hit areas during the opioid epidemic. And how certain aspects of the epidemic’s effects and who/what was involved are still hidden from the public. It’s mind blowing!
