So I've already finished the first two stories Drive My Car and Yesterday, and I have to say that I've missed reading Murakami. His stories always have measured cadence that doesn't quite build up tension but more distills things into a cleaner essence of itself or something. These stories are more contemporary, exploring different aspects of love and relationships. Don't expect magical sheep men this early.

Independent Organ was classic Murakami - contemporary yet remote. A seemingly neutral protagonist narrator telling a story that is initially profound but eventually sad. An ending that could be introspective or just peculiar.
