Gabriel's negative assumptions about Darcy make no sense. He knows that each department has rules they follow- he evens calls her naive for thinking she can do something outside of her appointed task. So why would he think she just kills people willy nilly? He should know that it's not up to individual reapers to choose who dies, so I'm having a very hard time feeling anything but annoyed with him and the author.
