The book is fine, I like the writing. BUT
Edith's character is very frustrating to deal with. Girl has no personality, no dialogs. I don't even know why Stoner would want to marry someone he doesn't even know, someone who acts like he's not even there, and then be surprised when the marriage doesn't work out and she acts coldly and distantly towards him.
