I stand by my earlier point about pacing problems. It’s been 250 pages and they only just got to Karthain and learned about sabetha. They haven’t even started the main scheme of the book yet. I didn’t mind the slower start in book 1 bc we didn’t know the characters or the world. But it’s starting to become a real drag and pattern in books 2 and 3

The interlude flashbacks are nice to learn more about sabetha, who we dont really know anything about at this point, but they're getting kinda long. They've taken up half the pages so far. They're showing a lot of other past stuff, like Locke's time on shades hill and at the temple of perelandro that we already know about from the earlier books. I wish it was cut down a little so we could get to the action presentday
