Aren’s POV is SO good because he still wants Lara so badly and finds her ridiculously attractive, especially when she’s fighting, while also genuinely hating her for what she did. And the best part is that all he really shows HER is the anger. So we know he’s still gone for her while she mostly gets the hate 😭 enemies-to-lovers-to-enemies-who-are-still-in-love is DELICIOUS.

I LOVE that Lara isn’t being forgiven that easily. Everyone still hates her and people are literally dying because of the damage she helped cause. THANK GOD. Also this is already such a good sequel??? You’re immediately back in the story, no awkward “getting into it” phase at all.
