Not really agreeing with him in this. He seems to be sermonizing many of the ideas and also appealing to the author's intent. Some of his ideas are interesting and thought provoking, but his views on literature seem to be of the letter rather than spirit, and mining for the gold nugget that the author hid within rather than having layers which the author might not have intended. I hope that I have misunderstood him.
