Escaping Ordinary is a fun, nostalgic fantasy that feels like the perfect blend of classic literature and a live-action video game. The plot takes thrilling turns when an outsider begins transforming their world into a video game, forcing the protagonist, Indira, to move beyond relying solely on her sledgehammer and truly learn how to work as part of a team. All in all, it is a fast-paced and delightful read.
