So far this book is quite delightful. An overall theme is to not label a child or pigeonhole them. The descriptions of Betsy’s experiences are so colorful and the language beautiful. I’m not sure how I feel about the author interjecting herself and acting as a running commentator. There are some exclamations such as “goodness gracious” smattered throughout.
So far, I’m giving it a solid 4 stars.
