I almost DNFd on two separate occasions. I am genuinely livid. What an unpleasant reading experience. Unfortunately, I am curious enough to see it through.

I hate hate hate Karuna’s mother and I’m quickly starting to dislike Karuna herself. Like, damn. Stand up to this lady, or something!!!

Urgh, I need out of this dynamic. I will say, it’s a vivid portrayal of a coercive mother-daughter relationship.
