I'm struggling trying to decide whether or not to dnf this! So far nothing really interesting has happened, the first 30% was just a rather bland retelling of P&P from Mary's perspective, and I don't appreciate how unfaithful it feels to Jane Austen's characters and Mary has no one to blame but herself for the piano incident. . . Even so I really liked the miniseries, so I keep hoping this will get better??

Thus far I think the author is doing a bally good job imitating the style and pacing of a Regency novel.

I watched the first episode of the show and loved it but i don’t have the subscription to keep watching. i didn’t realize it was a book

I also kinda struggled with this... I mean, I did finish it and thought it was pretty ok. It does get somewhat interesting as it goes on, but honestly I don't think it's one of those REALLY memorable kind of books
