I enjoyed this story because it had a different type of alpha hero.

The MMC is a special operative who survived an assassination attempt. In an effort to keep him off grid, one of his colleagues places the hero with a former step sister.

I really enjoyed the slow burn of this book. It's realistic and not forced. He has to recover, and she has to trust him. Tricks, the dog, is awesome third MC.
