Well, looks like this’ll be the book to take me from my teenage years into my twenty’s.
Thanks for coming along for the ride, AB.

Very amusing ending to the chapter, loved hearing his thoughts on Gordon Ramsay. Ironically, Bourdain became the pinnacle of the very type of chef he hated. What a guy! Love him to death.

Didn’t hit my page count today. Not even half. Too tired. Too much to do.

11:24am and I’m still awake. It’s hard to put the book down when the chapter is on Tokyo. Maybe it’s because AB loves writing it, or maybe it’s because I love reading it. Maybe it’s a little bit of both.

It’s 8am and I haven’t been able to sleep. Think I’ll just stay up this second day in a row.

That chapter on Saigon was brilliant. Almost as good as the Tokyo chapter in Kitchen Confidential. His love for Asia is apparent. As is mine seeing as those are the chapters I gravitate towards. I’ll take Saigon and Tokyo over Arachon, France any old day of the week.

That was a hell of a first chapter. Weeds out the ones with soft stomachs. I’m ready for more.
