so basically chapter 45 can go fuck itself. Had me crying bro omg. Her having to explain to Ortus how Gideon died is so heartbreaking and still so fresh for her. This quote got me, “She had been outplayed by Palamedes Sextus, outgunned by Cytherea The First, undone by Gideon Nav.”
Then she screams. “She died because I let her! You don’t understand!”

She was trying to save her this whole time! I’m sure it was also grief, but it was mostly because she loved her. I am heartbroken. Also, this is the old Harrow talking and I missed it so much. She’s so smart and I love to read how her brain works.

the way Tamsyn writes Harrow is incredible. this entire book she is different. we are experiencing a broken, shattered, tortured version of her. For one chapter. 3 pages. She brought the old HarrowHark back in a flashback. These 3 pages mean so much. 2 different HarrowHarks. even the way they talk is so different. I’m glad I got to have her back for a second. I missed her
