I’m kind of sad that Duke’s isint the love of her life SORRY

I’m not saying it has to be one or the other but it can’t be both.

I feel so protective over all of them, I feel like I would take a much better care of them. They keep getting hurt by unnecessary things.

Okay I have so much to say,
I feel Ann hiding in between the pages, I know that’s the point of Lara and hiding this intense emotion behind a silly story about Duke. I just feel it more during passages where she interrupts herself to say something about the word “crazy” or mental health. I understand that it helps the COVID contemporary setting, but it robs from the actual narrative sometimes.

I know that Ann Patchett isn’t giving me a love scene, especially the first one, but I want it ! It’s like asking Rachel Reid to not write a perfect Ilya and Shane book.

Awwww hell, It’s going to take a major flop for me to not like this book
