So far I have read the first story, Mr. Harrigan's Phone. It reads similarly to a lot of King's stories (small town northeast, behind on the times). It then unravels to multiple unusual deaths when the main character leaves voice-mails to his now-deceased elderly friend. It is a good ghost story in the sense that you are not 100% sure if a ghost is responsible for these events, but intuitively you know it.

Finished the Life of Chuck, the first segment is more reminiscent of King's unsettling dystopian works, then it slowly devolves in further segments to describe a man's life which "contains multitudes," as a banker but also a tenacious dancer, and whose grandparents' haunted attic may predict future deaths. He foresaw his own death we are exposed to at the beginning of the short story, feeling very full circle.
