Whiles kissing her he wishes he had the strength to tell her not to do something so disgusting. He’s enjoying the kiss but calls it the act or her doing it disgusting. I think he sees her so pure and innocent that he doesn’t even see her as human.

I can see Fred is a really insecure guy. Always assuming people look down on him to the point that going up to the girl he likes doesn’t even seem like an option and resorts to kidnapping her instead. He’s also an unreliable narrator thinking that Miranda is actually tolerating with him and that she’s not “actually scared” because she had bravery eyes.
