I love Mira! She’s definitely in my top favorite characters list, and her story solidifies that. Her relationship with her dragon is built on trusting instinct and not backing down from challenges, something that I admire about her. Even when tested, she’s still a strong character.

I loved Imogen before, and I still love her now. There’s so much about her and her dragon to digest that it might take a while. Either way, she’s one of my favorites.

I still love Bodhi even if he’s reckless and impulsive at times. His promises to himself, his parents, and now his dragon helps to understand his main purpose, but I think there’s still a lot to unpack about him.

Okay so Dain…not one of my favorites. But seeing a glimpse into his relationship with his dad makes some of his character make sense. The transition of his loyalty to his dad to his loyalty to his dragon honestly makes his story and character more interesting.

I love how loyal, almost to a fault, Garrick is in his chapter. The early bond between him and his dragon is already based on the question of how far he would let his loyalty to others go, and I think it’s amazing and very telling.

Xaden! I love how dedicated he is to the people he holds closest to him, especially Garrick, and how his story with his dragon is built on trust. She doesn’t want him to go into anything without knowing that they both have each other’s backs.

Brennan isn’t one of my favorite characters, but his Threshing story adds something to him. It shows his relationship with his parents, and how he doesn’t always know what will happen for/to him. His early relationship with his dragon made me chuckle a little.
