hrm discussed the way this is written out loud and i want to make note of it somewhere so i am doing so here: i am not enjoying the way this is written. why would a character going about the banalities of daily chores, habits, and an unsatisfying job be so obsessed with the novelty and uniqueness of their day to day life? she is living a boring daily routine, she is not a tourist new to her own environment?
