Starting to roll a bit more into this, book 3 now done. Dream-like haze of the boxing and Fate’s meeting with Rosa. The paths are starting to cross across the whole narrative.
I’ve started to use a read along guide to deal with the density, alas this is the only way for my brain to proceed

Starting part 3, finally

Book 1 is essentially a character study of the 4 Archimboldi scholars so far. You can feel something special is being built, he keeps the pace at a perfect level. I’m only 100 pages in but you feel this is something remarkable being brewed. The first 100 pages of infinite jest made me dread the rest, this is quite the opposite

This will take until Xmas but I think already something special is afoot.

One must tackle 2666 at some point in your life, today is the day we march to deep water.
