And I'm not done. There are these wlw side characters and they feel like they've just been like shoved in here. Genuinely right after the dragon disappears and we hit the next chapter it is such an abrupt shift from "we're at war" to "are you sure we can date you're our boss..."

Okay so like I think my main issue with this narrative is that stuff keeps happening that feels out of place.
Like. Ying thirsting over whichever man in the moment never works because we just fought a battle there are corpses all around you the FUCKING DRAGON you summoned is eating one and you're getting hot and bothered over the Prince PLEASE stop...
