ah ha, I see your point clearer now. I didn't reach the final chapter when an author supposed to offer a solution. his use of humor is maybe cynical, academic surely because that's his world. I guess it's a matter of sensitivity? I can read about horrific things like the holocaust and although I find it shocking I don't find it unreadable. I think the best exact way I can put it is that this book is probably exactly like his podcasts and interviews. I hope that gives you a better hint about the vibe.
talking about europe - so far I see him writing mostly about Canada and the United States, but of course the phenomenons are not very different.

Followed from your last update.
Yes, I do follow Gad Saad’s podcast, The Saad Truth, and have listened to his interviews on The Brink and The Brendan O’Neill podcasts. I haven’t found traces of humor…
unfortunately.
The Darwinian approach, empathy as a tool used for survival, is a basic truth. I very much also enjoy his metaphors.
But, as you say, for us who live in Europe at least, the situation is painful -and so so dangerous.
Does Saad imagine solutions?
Because if all he does is reveal how suicidal we are -and all the moralists and their self-righteousness won’t read his book-, then I feel we know all about inversions.
