My library loan for this book lapsed TWICE and I’m okay with just letting it go. It’s got all the ingredients of something I’d obsess over but it’s just really bland. Maybe I’ll give it another shot some other day

Dude I know any follow up to 1984 was gonna be touch but besides being Irish this book seems like it squanders such a cool concept like this is so uuuugh. I don’t know I don’t think the need to explain something this long shouldn’t be there in genre fiction like I’m here to suspend my disbelief I don’t need to know the history of everyone here right now show me the ghoulie
