Larsson's prose, I found, is very simplistic. Or is it the translation? No. It's great for some light-weight reading, where I don't have to focus too hard. But when I'm REALLY reading the sentences, they are written in a very plain, matter-of-fact, monotonous way. I also disliked the parts where huge chunk of time passed by in just a couple of sentences.

The first hundred or so pages of this book is spent recapping events from the previous book. That's why I hate cliffhangers.
