@iman i haven’t watched the movie yet but i can also imagine the desperation to invent a scent so powerful it overpowers all that stench
lllooolll exactly, they do a really good job of setting up the disgust. I highly recommend the movie after you've read the book, it's ... complicated, and Ben Wishaw is stunning. I dunno if you'll necessarily AGREE with the lean the narrative takes, but it's definitely interesting.
