I will say second chance is not my favorite trope because it is boring. I skimmed a lot of their vacation because the love wasn’t new. It was just rekindled and it’s way less interesting than say strangers or enemies to lovers. Plus I feel like the plot didn’t move. It was all over the place and it felt way too long, but I’m still giving it four stars. Took forever to read⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I really wanted to love this book. I loved Carter’s book and I loved the overall characters from Alec’s book. My only problem was this book was too long and not a lot happened. There was history and so them learning to love each other again when they already loved each other was a bit boring. The vacation felt so unnecessary. They could’ve gotten there without that whole side quest.
