She's already pissed me off because she said the reward for this work is a strong, intimate relationship [with a man]. Brah, I am doing all this work for inner peace, not for a fucking man. Now those things have come and gone and I tell ya what... watching Hercules or going to the Ren Faire or on a road trip or seeing my girls are all wayyyyy better then external male attention/validation. I just feel like... I feel like even these books are propaganda in disguise. But then again, it is a relationship self-help book. Maybe what I need to read is a book called "how to get laid without losing your god damn mind".
