just about 25% left but i wanna quit so bad with this super moronic mc. he is smart and realistic in his head but like his decisions are completely those dumb characters in horror film. im so disappointed i really needed this book to be great bec stephen king himself was gassing this shit 💩

is he dumb? why would he follow the old man into the woods and why is he convincing himself at first that the cat was truly alive bec cats have 9 lives when he literally ripped the corpse of the cat from the pavement ffs. such a boring book ugh idk if i should dnf or trust the build up.
