I’m ready to smack Phillip upside the head. He better kick himself up and down the estate when he realizes she actually needed his help and he was too wrapped up in his unwarranted anger because he didn’t bother to ask a question.

I generally dislike miscommunication as a trope in romances. While this isn’t the most frustrating instance I’ve seen, it’s certainly up there considering the intelligence and intuition of Phillip and Sorrel.
