I absolutely love the idea of this book, but may have to dnf...
First off, he has a gf and they are very in love etc etc... That could lead to cheating or breaking the girls heart when she did nothing wrong.
Second and the main reason I am not enjoying this - the writing. It is HORRIFIC. the dialogue is set like a script and the rest of it has no filler words, its as if a robot wrote it.
