oooh! I must know what you and maria think of this one. I tried it and got distracted so I didnt finish it.

I can see why you got distracted, the first 1/4 of the book did not grab me but once over that hurdle it got interesting. Interesting but not remarkable, it feels very derivative which is fine but I have issues. 1. Being the kids versus the adult world troupe, that they are somehow smarter and wiser than the adults 2. The unnecessary inclusion of romantic interests in very young characters. These 2 issues make it really hard to recommend or let my kiddos get into this series. So in one word it’s “meh”
