Well I know (as you do too) the challenge poetry poses for me Jools!! But I am hoping that any poetry I read in this one, will mean a lot more to me as I read Kahlo's life story, and see her art. That's my hope anyway!!! 🤗................so far it's an interesting read with some great pics of her art.

Julie G Is it a compilation of poetry written about Frida Kahlo, or is it by that one author?

Apparently Jools, the poems are from a whole bunch of Latino poets. The book does include some of Kahlo's letters and other writing though, the artwork is amazing. I'm enjoying it so far. I saw a whole lot of Kahlo's and Rivera's frescos in Mexico City last year and they were amazing. I need to find out if we have any by them in Guadalajara.

Julie G She was an amazing artist. My middle child reminds me of her, quite a bit. Their artwork isn't similar, but their creative process is.
I'm green with envy that you've seen both Kahlo's and Rivera's work in Mexico City. There's nothing that quite matches the effect of seeing original art in person.
