this book suffers from the fact that it wants to be a snappy high-stakes political thriller, portraying all of the characters at the top of their games, speaking in multiple layers at once and firing off witty lines to combat arguments in flawless, superhuman style.

however: this book tries to do this by describing, generously, about 20% of what is actually going on. it’s borderline incoherent to read.
