About the start chapter 30… at least I will be the next time I start reading this book. I’m making progress (which is great) and it’s not nearly as hard to read as it was earlier but I still don’t like a lot of the choices the author made about how actions and events were paced and interpreted by the characters.

I thought I was doing so well until I got to Ilya adopting a dog without talking to Shane HIS FUCKING FIANCE at any point in the process of dog prepping his house and had to take a lap for my own sanity. I fucking hate this book.

It’s actually killing me how poorly developed literally all of the character are. Very few of them are original to this story as well and in a lot of cases the author just throws away previous traits and characterizations that no longer serve the narrative she wants to spin. It’s actually infuriating and I don’t think it’s going to get any better. I read this far in August, I want to finish it soon
