Crystal’s POV
I’m guessing she was hired on as caretaker for Mortimer (dead guys) wife. Still think she had some sort of crush on him.
First riddle, someone lead a girl on and she died, my guess is Chester since, in the previous chapter, he kept making allusions to Mortimer calling him out about a girl.

Chester’s POV
He’s a thrill hound, loves instigating other people into doing dangerous shit.
The will reading finally happens. The house is “alive” and the plan is to feed it these people? Only one is going to survive, they have to get through the rooms to get out and each room has a riddle. Probably has to do with why each one is there

POV Petey
Brother stole an unpublished manuscript from the dead guy and published it under his name. Thats his only claim to fame

Winnie POV
Taking the time to get SOME backstory to each character. Winnie is the annoying one who apparently pissed off the deceased and caused some drama. She thinks this will reading is a truce after death but she’s starting to second guess herself
