Incredible imagery. So much of the prose is so detailed that it just pulls you into this story and these characters' minds
The paragraph that begins at the bottom of page 71 is one of the best I've ever read. Descriptive and immersive with a touch of sorrow and the actually made me laugh. The angelic verbiage of "the light [...] presenting him" juxtaposed by describing "him" as a gnome two sentences later is genius
