i think my biggest problem so far is that i don't really feel emotionally connected to any of the characters really...? like i feel i don't spend time enough with anyone to really feel something for them, it's all very textbook so far!! and there's so many cuts sometimes i wish i could really be IN THE MOMENT. but i am still in the beginning so it may improve later?

i think this book has some of the best and most memorable side characters to me so far and they actually matter to the story!! there are sooo many characters that it's hard to keep up sometimes but man the ones that get their own attention on them are AMAZING. pira and maing, king jizu, princess kikomi!!!! oh my god.
