Someone has a conversation that we don’t hear, just see the lips move. We hear it later. Happens in Polity books often. Not a fan. I find it distracting. Too often I already feel like I missed or forgot something.

Repetitive structure of all books so far. Multiple characters or groups of characters follow their own mini-storylines and come together to overcome the antagonist.

“The surgical robot bowed like a geisha” - that’s quite a simile. Do geisha bow in a specific way? Was it just a bow or was there something else geisha-like about it?
