I wouldn’t have finished this book if I wasn’t trying to read through all the Pulitzer Prize winning books. I had to fast forward through all the killing & hunting scenes and there were a lot.
It’s traumatizing, it’s graphic, it’s sad, growing up and it’s what I can imagine that time would be like in 1930’s in rural Florida. I wouldn’t recommend this book especially women.
