Just within the first few chapters, I can tell that this is going to be one of those special books that I carry with me for the rest of my lifetime. One thing that has impressed me about Steinbeck’s writing, is his ability to convey complex, philosophical ideas in accessible prose.

One thing that fascinates me so far is his exploration of love, specifically, the negative sides of love. Life changing!
