Excruciating to read, because it fills one with deep despair. Author puts you in the shoes of the central protagonists and show bare their moral deterioration in adverse circumstances. author asks us how far would we stoop for basic necessities if we were not so privileged? Whether it is right to judge those who beg or steal? Whether claiming the moral high ground is right when all we have been so far is privileged.
