I was getting annoyed with Cole again, so I was grateful for Garvey and Edwin to tell Cole they were going back to Minneapolis. That put the fear in Cole to do better. I appreciate the recognition of deep breathes to calm oneself. It reminds me to focus on my breathing when anxious or stressed.

I appreciate Garvey and Edwin. I am glad that Cole has changed and his mom is making progress as well.

Cole annoys me greatly. I am pleased that the Bear and his situation might finally be teaching him something. Not sure how he lives through this mauling though.

I remember liking this book when we read it as a class in the 5th grade. It has been a hot second since then and I wanted to reread it. I am wondering how Cole is going to turn around.
