we're in for the long haul, boy, i haven't even made it out of the intro yet but i know despite having read The World of the Shining Prince twice, seeing what the translator thinks is necessary to understand (including how he translated certain aspects) is going to pay dividends especially as Morris assumed you'd read Waley's very dated translation.
