A shard of ice is the second short story in the sword of destiny collection. It follows Geralt and yennefer, as they try to make sense of their connection.

While this story isn’t like other Witcher stories, it shows the depths of the characters as they navigate emotional connection, jealousy and lust.

The bounds of reason is the first short story in the collection: sword of destiny. Firstly, I want to say how well this story flows, it doesn’t take long to read and Andrzej Sapkowski’s writing makes for a great fantasy adventure.

The story follows Geralt of Rivia, embarking on a quest to seek a rare golden dragon, that has never been seen and only speculated through myth.
