The worst person you met has survivorship bias and doesn’t realize why he’s unlikable. This was originally printed in 2004 and he was in high school in the 80s. I wonder if now in 2026 he realized he might’ve been the problem. Excellent little view of the psyche of most SWE’s I’ve met though.
