The Japanese Christians eagerly awaited the coming of Christ or their entrance into Heaven because their life on earth was so full of troubles. While I’m so grateful I don’t face the troubles they did, is my life so comfortable that I don’t groan inwardly and long for the completion of God’s saving work, the “not yet?” (Rom 8:18-25) Would I rather have the things of the world, or Christ? (Phil 3:8)
