Three weeks ago, Aunt Eloise wired me in Germany concerning the death of Sugar-Grove, that mythic soul of Forest County, whose early memory was forged mainly in Mississippi. It is his stories, founded upon these memories, that I feel destined to dramatize. During the course of transforming his life, I personally hope to discover the meaning of existence out of this man’s divine days upon this planet.
